Volunteerism is one of the founding principles of the San Cristoal Language School. Collectively, our Directors and Staff have many years of experience as volunteers in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. Our Spanish for Volunteers Package is a comprehensive course that focuses on the special needs of today’s Volunteers. The package has been designed in collaboration with experienced Spanish teachers and volunteers. It prepares Volunteer not only to communicate with, but also to understand the cultural background of their Spanish speaking colleagues and clients.
The kinds of demands that volunteering opportunities place on communication skills vary. In order to tailor the specialized Spanish for Volunteering Package to the demands of your particular opportunity, we will mail you a questionnaire designed to help us understand the opportunity and the specialized communication skills that it requires.
Spanish for Volunteers lessons last for 4 hours a day, and are divided into three sections:Our Plus Packages offer an additional 1 hour per day of guided communicative practice designed to reinforce the lessons you have learned earlier in the day.Your teacher will provide themes for each conversation related to your field of volunteering to provide you with an improved knowledge of Spanish and a better understanding of México.
