The San Cristóbal Language School offers two types of discounts. The first type, the Permanent Discount, is offered year round to students who have at some point in their lives engaged in one of the several volunteering activities listed below. The second type, the Temporary Discount, is a one-time offering with an expiration date. After applying a Temporary Discount to the total cost of your Spanish Language Package(s), San Cristóbal Language School will apply any Permanent Discount for which you are eligible to the remaining cost of your Package(s). We are sorry, but neither of the discounts applies to homestays, activities, tours or workshops. All discounts must be explicitly requested during the registration process.

Temporary Discounts

The Permanent Discounts offered by the San Cristóbal Language School do not expire and are usable at any time by eligible persons. There is, however, a limit of one permanent discount per person. Those who have either served in or worked for one of the following organizations are eligible for a permanent 10% discount on all Spanish Packages and private lessons:
Peace Corps/AmeriCorps Discount:
If you have ever served in, or worked for the U.S. Peace Corps or AmeriCorps you already know how rewarding the experience can be. Here at SCLS we would like to offer an additional reward for you selfless service by offering 10% off your tuition.
UNICEF Discount:
There are few nobler causes than to dedicate spend your time helping feed and educate the most needy among us, the children. In appreciation for the hard work they do worldwide, we are happy to offer 5% off the tuition of the of any current or former UNICEF employee.
Big Brothers/Big Sister Discount:
If you have ever volunteered as a Big Brother/Big Sister, you know you have made a positive difference in the life of a child. SCLS would like to reward you with 5% off your tuition.
3 Friends Discount:
San Cristóbal Language School permanently offers a 50% Friends Discount to any person who registers him/herself and three others with the same level of Spanish in a group class.
The Temporary Discounts offered by the San Cristóbal Language School are one time offers with expiration dates. There is a limit of one temporary discount per person.
200th Anniversary of Mexico's Independence Discount:
In order to celebrate Mexico's bi-centennial celebration in September 2010 the SCLS is offering all students who sign up for classes in September, October, November and December a discount of 20% off on all of our Spanish packages! To be eligible for this discount all you have to do is register at SCLS, the only school in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas owned and operated by professional Spanish teachers.
