Our Spanish school was founded by an American and his Spanish wife. They meet when he came to Mexico as a volunteer after spending many years working in the corporate world. She was his Spanish teacher

   After they got married they decided to settle in Mexico and start a Spanish School. As soon as the school started they were overwhelmed by the positive response from their Spanish students who had been looking for high quality Spanish lessons as well as possibilty to give back to the world in a meaningful way. The San Cristobal Language School does not charge any additional fees to their Spanish students who would like to volunteer while taking Spanish lessons.

Due to the success of their first Spanish School in Mexico, the couple decided to to open up their second Spanish school in the place where they orignally meet, San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. With the same goals in mind they opened the San Cristobal Spanish School to meet the needs of those who visit San Cristóbal.
